We are delighted to announce that on 1 April 2020 Robert Hoepel has joined Smallegange as a partner.

Robert has a broad shipping practice with a focus on dispute resolution. He predominantly acts for shipping companies, marine insurers (H&M, P&I and FD&D), shipyards and ship suppliers. He handles a wide range of contractual issues and disputes involving marine casualties, charter parties, attachments and ship building contracts. Robert has a particular interest in marine insurance and regularly advises on insurance cover disputes involving H&M- and CAR-policies .

Smallegange has a robust business continuity plan that ensures uninterrupted service to our valued clients. With the addition of Iris Regtien (on 1 January 2020) and Robert Hoepel to the team, we are fully equipped to offer our clients full-service legal expertise on all aspects relating to shipping, offshore, ports and terminals, logistics and marine insurance. These are challenging times for all organisations. We all hope that the duration of the crisis will be limited, but regardless how long it lasts, we are ready to work remotely or otherwise to service our clients.
